Minimum Qualifications:
- Applicants must have prior experience as a state,
local or federal police officer; sheriff’s deputy, state
trooper or highway patrol officer; or correction or
detention officer employed by a police department,
sheriff’s department, state police or highway patrol,
federal law enforcement agency, or a state, local or
federal corrections facility or jail; or forensic
experience in a law enforcement capacity/agency/setting
- Applicants must be an actively serving officer, OR
must be recently retired/separated from active
employment
-High proficiency in English is required
-Applicants will be required to submit to a background
investigation. Some positions may require a SECRET
security clearance issued by the US Government
-Some positions may require carrying a firearm in the

The program, termed the
International Criminal Investigations Training Assistance Program (ICITAP),
works in foreign nations to further develop strong, science-based
criminal investigations. The positions are generally short in
duration and range from 1-3 weeks.
Description: MPRI is currently seeking
highly qualified Spanish-speaking Forensic Scientists to travel
to Colombia for one to three weeks to teach courses in:

The training is
part of the International Criminal Investigations Training
Assistance Program (ICITAP) within the Criminal Division of the U.S.
Department of Justice. This exciting and unique program focuses on
providing high-quality forensic training to countries working to

Qualifications:
Qualified individuals will have an extensive background in forensic
science, with knowledge of a broad range of basic and advanced
forensic science applications and techniques including forensic
disciplines. The successful candidate must posses at least a B.S. in
the biological sciences, Ph.D or M.D. preferred. Applicants must
have 7 or more years of experience as an active forensic scientist
in one of the above listed forensic disciplines.
