IABPA Training Course Standards

Recommended Training Standards/Guidelines
for a basic BPA course
Provisional Membership in the IABPA requires an endorsement by a current IABPA "Full Member" and proof of completion of a 40-hour basic Bloodstain Pattern Analysis course. Proof of completion must be submitted when completing the online application.
To qualify for Provisional Membership in the IABPA, you must have attended a Basic BPA Course provided by an instructor whose course content meets the recommended guidelines established by the IABPA Education Committee*.

The IABPA Education Committee has established recommended guidlines which include material and applications that are essential for a BPA examiner. These recommendations include supervised, laboratory-based, practical excercises and assignments and other essential material**.
