Amy Santoro has been an IABPA member since 2009. She is a bloodstain pattern analyst in private practice based in the Kansas City area. Amy took her first BPA class in 2007 and has been passionate about the discipline since. In 2024, Amy completed her PhD in Forensic Science and defended her dissertation about error rates in BPA and the use of an adjusted ACE-V methodology; her research was partially funded by an award from the Rahn grant. Amy has been the IABPA social media manager since 2023 and was the 2024 annual conference host. She continues to serve on the conference planning committee. Outside of the IABPA, Amy serves on the IAI BPA certification board and the IAI BPA Science and Practices subcommittee. She is secretary of the ASB Bloodstain consensus body and has recently joined the BPA OSAC.
